Essayists! We at Essay Daily are writing to invite you to contribute to a new series called L*STS.
What are L*STS? Lists. Lasts. Lusts. Losts.
We plan on publishing brief (or not-so-brief) pieces that fit into these categories starting in August 2026 and continuing on through the fall into winter 2026.
We want: Short or long lists of things. Essays about the last time you or someone else did something or saw something or thought something. Essays about lusts in whatever way that manifests. Essays about losts, lost things, lost people, lost ideas, lost rituals. We’re open to other ideas that can fit into these categories.
We want this to be a mass essaying event, an Essay Daily Happening, so the more the merrier.
As such these don’t need to be Polished, Finished, Brilliant Essays (though they can be if you’re ON ONE). They can be more casual. Fragmentary even. What we’re looking for is a snapshot of what you’re working on or thinking about related in some way to these questions.
We will plan on publishing these in August 2026 and beyond.
Interested? Pitch Ander (ander@arizona.edu) or Will (wjaslattery@gmail.com) your idea.
